INNERWORK PROGRAMS

We provide evidence-based programs designed to support personal growth, accountability, and lasting change. Our programs are tailored to meet court and probation requirements while offering a structured, supportive environment for participants. No matter which program you’re assigned to, you’ll receive the same high-quality guidance and resources to help you move forward.

Innerwork Standards and Topics

All programs meet Oregon State standards and requirements as defined in the Oregon Administrative Rules for Batterer Intervention Programs (BIP). Participants who successfully complete their program receive ongoing support. Additionally, all programs include a Survivor Impact Panel, organized in partnership with the Survivor Collective Alliance Reaching Society (SCARS).

Program Eligibility and Requirements

No matter which program you are assigned to after your initial intake appointment, the following requirements apply:

  • Offered to participants who are male or identify as male.

  • Participants must have access to a working device and reliable internet service, including either cellular data service or Wi-Fi calling.

  • Intake Appointment is required - this is a two-hour phone call.

  • Multnomah County and US Courts Probation Office District of Oregon offers full or partial subsidy to qualifying participants.

Better Man Program

  • Groups meet online once a week for 90 minutes. Program length is a minimum of 36 weeks.

  • This program accepts new participants on a rolling basis.

  • This is a "Goal-Based" program. The time required to complete the program will vary for each participant. Completion Requirements and Program Expectations will be provided to participants before they begin. Due to the enrollment structure, participants may re-engage in the program in accordance with Program Policy sometimes without needing to start over or wait any length of time. Average completion time is 45-47 weeks.

  • Voluntary participants are welcome.

Insight DVIP

  • Groups meet online twice a week for 90 minutes, each. Program length is approximately 26-28 weeks.

  • Orientation Group and Graduation Group is required and built into the program.

  • This program follows a "closed curriculum," with participants joining in cohorts of 8-12 individuals. Completion Requirements and Program Expectations will be provided to participants before they begin. Because of the enrollment structure, participants who do not succeed will be required to restart the program from the beginning. New cohorts begin roughly every 8 weeks.

  • Voluntary participants are not accepted.
